The Scarlet Letter

We quickly checked Wikipedia from any Alchemical information. The symbol on the letter was a deep shade of scarlet. (It's a kind of red that was amazingly beautiful, and reminded Anthea of Valentine's Day and me of Gone With the Wind).

"Do you know anything of alchemy?" C. asked us. Alchemy is mostly known as the way to turn something into gold. Or cause a great change in something. It's not technically magic. Everyone except Anthea agrees there is now such thing as magic. (But whatever).

C sat down at the computer and glanced the page with almost MILD interest. With all the mystery around this we thought she'd be exstatic. But she kept her same don't-give-a-shit frame.
